I became a born again christian in 1981 shortly after being discharged from the navy. At that time, I told the Lord that if He saved my life that I would serve Him the rest of my life. Now let me fast forward to May 2005. The Spirit of the Lord spoke to my heart and led me to write a book. I said, but Lord, I have never written a book before. What do I have to say that would be enough to put in a book? Inspite of my apprehensions and self doubts, God reassured me that He would be my help to accomplish what then seemed to me to be a monumental task and faith stepped in and said nothing is too hard for my God to work out.

Well, from that day forward, everytime I picked up my pen to write God filled my soul with what he wanted me to say. He began to arrange my thoughts in order. He showed me what scriptures to use and in what order to put them. He told me 5 chapters and no more. He gave me the titles and subject matter for each chapter (in the Bible, 5 is the divine number for the grace of God - "...My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." II Corinthians 12:9)

The book, "BEHOLD, THE BRIDEGROOM COMETH!" was written in the form of spiritual symphony. As the conductor of an orchestra leads his group to play a musical selection, so the Holy Spirit led me to put the selected Bible verses

in the proper sequence so that a sort of panoramic or continuous view of the subject matter will be seen by the reader of my book. As you read your way through the book you will begin to see a more clearer picture of what is going on in the church today and Satan's deceptive tactics and plan for the church.

Let us be clear on one thing, the church is under attack and we are in a spiritual war. The Lord left us a most precious gift, the Word of God, and we must cherish and hold fast to this most precious gift. For nothing else in this world can be compared to the knowledge of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

"In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. He was present originally with God. All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being. In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men...And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate) and tabernacled (fixed His tent of flesh, lived awhile) among us; and we [actually] saw His glory (his honor, His majesty), such glory as an only begotten son receives from his father, full of grace (favor, loving-kindness) and truth." John 1: 1-14 Amplified Bible
